It's difficult to answer this question without knowing what you're 
booting, and what parameters it expects, where but assuming the 
root-path value eventually ends up in the command=line of a Linux kernel
changing

> dhcp-option=17,"/opt/ltsp/ubuntu_6.10_i386/"

into somthing like

dhcp-option=17,"192.168.57.252:/opt/ltsp/ubuntu_6.10_i386/"

might work.
