Hello!

I have started to use dnsmasq on a freebsd 6.x router/nat machine where it is used as dns for my connected windows clients. I have a problem with the dns server which I have not been able to resolve. I have an entry in my hosts file for each of the clients and it look something like this:

192.168.0.1 computer1
192.168.0.2 computer2

and so on. The problem is that dnsmasq does not resolve "computer1". I need to use "computer1.lan" or the local domain I may have chosen and configured dnsmasq to use. Is it possible to configure dnsmasq so it resolves the "simple names" directly as they are written in the hosts file?

Regards
Stefan Sundberg
