[Dnsmasq-discuss] troubles with cname

Hi.

I recently tried DNSMasq, with a new gate a had to install.
I'm pretty amazed. It's really easy to deal with DNS. No more bind for me.

But there's still a thing I don't understand...

in /etc/hosts, I have:
10.0.0.1     toto-eth
10.0.0.201   toto-wif
88.191.xx.xx dedibox

in /etc/dnsmasq.conf, I have:
dhcp-host=macaddr,10.0.0.1,infinite
dhcp-host=macaddr,10.0.0.201,infinite
cname=toto,toto-eth
cname=mailbox,dedibox

When I'm testing from the server, I can ping everyone.
When I'm trying from a DHCP/DNS client from my network, toto and mailbox are
not resolved.
But, still trying from a client, when I nslookup them, I got my answer.

faust at alpha ~ : ping mailbox
 12:47
ping: unknown host mailbox
faust at alpha ~ : nslookup mailbox
 12:47
Server:        192.168.0.254
Address:    192.168.0.254#53

mailbox     canonical name = dedibox.
Name:    dedibox
Address: 88.191.xx.xx
faust at alpha ~ :

same test with other alias, lokking at logs:

Feb 20 12:57:55 omega dnsmasq[4353]: query[A] toto.faust-network from
192.168.0.42
Feb 20 12:57:55 omega dnsmasq[4353]: cached toto.faust-network is
NXDOMAIN-IPv4
Feb 20 12:57:55 omega dnsmasq[4353]: query[A] toto from 192.168.0.42
Feb 20 12:57:55 omega dnsmasq[4353]: config toto is <CNAME>
Feb 20 12:57:55 omega dnsmasq[4353]: /etc/hosts toto-eth is 192.168.0.242

I don't understand... What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help
