I have this line in the config:

  dhcp-generate-names=tag:wlan

dnsmasq-2.53rc1 complains:

dnsmasq: extraneous parameter at line 720 of /etc/dnsmasq.conf

The tag "wlan" is set in a range specifier:

  dhcp-range=set:wlan,192.168.x.y,192.168.x2.y2,255.255.255.240,192.168.x3.y3,1h
