[Dnsmasq-discuss] DNS updates with dnsmasq in proxydhcp mode

Normally, when one uses dnsmasq for DHCP and DNS, if a client includes a
hostname in the DHCP request, dnsmasq creates a DNS record for that.

We're using dnsmasq in proxyDHCP mode, and for DNS. We're using cheap
routers as DHCP servers.
What can we do to force dnsmasq to react when a client requests an IP?
I can see in the logs that it sees the hostname in the request:

Nov 22 12:58:58 alkis dnsmasq-dhcp[1181]: 2230985259 Available DHCP subnet: 10.160.31.10/255.255.255.0
Nov 22 12:58:58 alkis dnsmasq-dhcp[1181]: 2230985259 client provides name: client01

But dnsmasq doesn't create DNS records for that hostname when it's in
proxyDHCP mode. And my --dhcp-script is not executed either.

Thanks in advance for any help!
