That's a RFC required field. The dhcpcd default config will error noisily about it. Why do you need to disable it?

Subject: [Dnsmasq-discuss] How to disable option 54 in DHCPOFFER (special need)
Date: Sun, Oct 19, 2014 08:54

Hello dnsmasq users,

I would appreciate help on the following:

There is a need in my test lab to disable the DHCP from sending option 54 “DHCP server identifier” in the DHCPOFFERs

I suppose I would need to recompile the dnsmasq source.
Could someone point me to the file where I need to edit the changes.

And what would those changes look like

Thanks,
