In the hypothetical case: I dunno.
On my network with my systems, yes; and having powered down a laptop,
reconfiguring the router, and powered up the laptop, it accepted an
offer for 192.168.3.132.
My original suspicion was there was some lingering affect from
Class-ful subnets. I thought supernetting Class Cs was not a good
idea. I forgot to mention I am on v2.62
You bring up a good point though, some patience to see results might
be required. I appreciate your insight.
