<p class="MsoNormal">I have two IP address listed as “nameserver” in /etc/resolve.conf
file. One server is reachable all the time and the second server is down most
of the time.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In this situation, when my system does DNS query, some time
I get very quick results and some time it take time to get DNS answer. If I
remove the server which is down from the list, it works very well. What is the
logic behind contacting these “nameservers”? I don’t mention “-o” option for
considering DNS servers in order. Please explain how it works.</p>
