Hi,
I am looking for a simple solution to build a small local network using
dhcp and dns forwarding.
Dnsmasq looks very interesting for that job. I run it on my main pc
which is connected to the internet via ADSL.
Everything else seems to work fine but there is one problem: I dont want
to share my dns to the world. I tried the options
interface=eth0
except-interface=ppp0
listen-address=192.168.1.1
but it doesnt seem to have any effect (it is visible on both the local
net and the internet) regardless if it's started from /etc/init.d or the
command line.
I use version 2.22 that ships with Debian 3.1
Did I miss an option? Is the Debian package buggy? Any other ideas?
Thank you for your support,
Christian
