[Dnsmasq-discuss] Problem with dhcp-optsfile

I have the following dhcp options in my dnsmasq.conf file:

 

dhcp-option=option:router,192.168.22.252                          # set
router address (3)

dhcp-option=option:dns-server,192.168.22.244                 # set dns
server address (6)

dhcp-option=option:domain-name,djmuller.com             # set domain name
(15) 

dhcp-option=option:ntp-server,192.168.22.250                 # set time
server (42)

dhcp-option=option:netbios-ns,192.168.22.244                 # set
netbios-over-TCP/IP nameserver(s) aka WINS server(s) (44)

dhcp-option=option:netbios-nodetype,8                             # netbios
node type (46)

 

They work fine with no problems. I decided to move them to their own file
using dhcp-optsfile=. When I restarted dnsmasq I received the following
errors in the log file:

 

Feb 26 10:05:19 dnsmasq[10052]: bad dhcp-option at line 3 of
/share/MD0_DATA/apps/config/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-dhcp-options.conf

Feb 26 10:05:19 dnsmasq[10052]: bad dhcp-option at line 4 of
/share/MD0_DATA/apps/config/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-dhcp-options.conf

Feb 26 10:05:19 dnsmasq[10052]: bad dhcp-option at line 5 of
/share/MD0_DATA/apps/config/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-dhcp-options.conf

Feb 26 10:05:19 dnsmasq[10052]: bad dhcp-option at line 6 of
/share/MD0_DATA/apps/config/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-dhcp-options.conf

Feb 26 10:05:19 dnsmasq[10052]: bad dhcp-option at line 7 of
/share/MD0_DATA/apps/config/dnsmasq/dnsmasq-dhcp-options.conf

 

The first two lines  in the dhcp-optsfile are comments.

 

Why do these lines work in the dnsmasq.conf file but not in the
dhcp-optsfile? What am I doing wrong?
