[Dnsmasq-discuss] Local ip addresses changing

I'm having a problem with a particular IP address with my dnsmasq
setup. The dnsmasq server IP is 192.168.1.25. I also have a xen
virtual machine running on the same server that has the IP
192.168.1.26, in a bridge setup with the host machine. When I first
connect to the network, I can ping the hostname (dev1) of the virtual
machine and it hits 192.168.1.26. However, after a while, if I ping
dev1 again it starts hitting 192.168.1.25! The hosts file on the
dnsmasq server hasn't been changed, in fact nothing has been touched
in the network setup. If I disconnect from the network (it's a wlan)
and then reconnect, the hostname mapping is fine again, for a while,
but then after a while it happens again. By the way, I'm doing all
these ping tests from a separate (not virtual) machine on the network
with a completely different IP (192.168.1.98).

I set dnsmasq up last week and haven't had this problem before today,
but I did previously have a problem where, after a while, hostnames
started resolving to their external IP, not the internal network IPs.
I still have at least one computer on the network that was having this
problem yesterday but I'm just waiting for a chance to reboot it to
see if this resolves that issue. However, the issue I mentioned in my
first paragraph is the main problem at this time.

Any advice would be really welcome - I have no idea what's going on,
and it's very frustrating.

Thanks,
Guy
