Adressing some concerns now..


- It has been pointed out that the patch does not contain any "autoconf 
#idefs" ..well that is a sure sign you misread the code and the patch, 
there are no new ifdefs for particular features because I have reused 
the existing ones...

- Sure it will need some extra-tweaking that I will be able to check.

- Expecting me to test in a dozen of different OS before bringing this 
up is unreasonable.

- I do not care about politics, cost-benefit analysis or personal 
dissatisfaction with autotools, if something's wrong there you are 
preaching to the wrong church.

-I do however care if this patch does not work for you or if you have 
suggestions to improve it.

- "The lua change" .. well. it is a build fix.. without that patch a 
modern system with lua 5.2 will not work.
