Actually, I think you are doing very valuable work in exercising new 
dnsmasq code, and I'm very grateful.

It would be useful to repeat you experiments with --bind-interface and 
--bind-dynamic and see if there's any difference.

I'm under real pressure to release 2.64, but I'm holding off for now in 
the hope of resolving this first.
