Wrong question. Probably due jumping to conclusions.
Show us, this mailinglist, the content of /etc/resolv.conf
Output of `dig foo`, `dig foo.my.own.domain.tld` and `ping -c 3 foo`.
Where 'foo' is host known at the local DNS.
