Otherwise, here goes:

Defined an address in dnsmasq config:
address=/gstaticadssl.l.google.com/

Restarted dnsmasq.

Queried dnsmasq for said domain name, got nxdomain response:

query[A] gstaticadssl.l.google.com from 127.0.0.1
config gstaticadssl.l.google.com is NXDOMAIN

Queried dnsmasq for fonts.gstatic.com, got cname gstaticadssl.l.google.com
and ip address for gstaticadssl.l.google.com:

query[A] fonts.gstatic.com from 127.0.0.1
forwarded fonts.gstatic.com to 8.8.8.8
reply fonts.gstatic.com is <CNAME>
reply gstaticadssl.l.google.com is 172.217.21.131

Queried dnsmasq for gstaticadssl.l.google.com, now its not nxdomain anymore:

query[A] gstaticadssl.l.google.com from 127.0.0.1
cached gstaticadssl.l.google.com is 142.250.74.99
