Hi everyone,
I have "log-queries=extra" turned on in my dnsmasq configuration. For
most queries/responses, it's adding the serial and IP/port to the
beginning of each line as I believe it's supposed to.
However, for TXT records, it'll provide the serial/ip/port for the
query, but the response is missing that information.
The version info is:
dnsmasq -v
Dnsmasq version 2.84 Copyright (c) 2000-2021 Simon Kelley
Compile time options: IPv6 GNU-getopt no-DBus no-UBus i18n IDN2 DHCP
DHCPv6 no-Lua TFTP no-conntrack ipset auth cryptohash DNSSEC loop-detect
no-inotify dumpfile
The log example:
Sep 17 16:17:58 <daemon.info> dnsserver dnsmasq[86290]: 299023
192.168.x.y/21079 query[TXT] xxyy.com from 192.168.x.y
Sep 17 16:17:58 <daemon.info> dnsserver dnsmasq[86290]: reply xxyy.com
is v=spf1 a mx ptr a:xxyy.com ~all
Is there something I've missed to add that info, or is this a defect?
I've searched for this issue in this list via Google, but haven't found
anything. Forgive me if I missed something!
Thanks in advance,
Joseph Ward
