I think like this: What if it's the cache content which makes dnsmasq to 
stop working?
Loading such cache from disk would make it stop working immediately.

Finding the bug is what matters most.

could be better, but I recommend using mail agent like thunderbird or mutt 
for list mail.

microsoft tends to put too many empty lines between replied text and expand 
URLs in plaintext mail, so one reads example.com<http://example.com> 
everywhere. Not mentioning that microsoft treats everything as list mail.
