Hello,

I can dig a DHCP configured host, but when I try to connect to it, I
get a resolution failure. Very confusing:

$ dig wmii

; <<>> DiG 9.4.2 <<>> wmii
;; global options:  printcmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 39432
;; flags: qr aa rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;wmii.				IN	A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
wmii.			0	IN	A	192.168.122.83

;; Query time: 0 msec

;; WHEN: Fri Jun 27 16:14:31 2008
;; MSG SIZE  rcvd: 38

$ ping wmii
ping: unknown host wmii

I don't know too much about how DNS works, so I'm probably overlooking
something basic.  Any ideas?

thanks,
Matt Brown
