If you're going to detect ports and switches, you need switches that can 
add that information to DHCP requests as they pass through the switch. 
Not all can, it's a "value added" function (ie you have to buy expensive 
switches).

If your switches are OK, you use dhcp-circuitid and dhcp-remoteid 
dnsmasq configuration to match the extra information added by the 
switches and set tags based on that.

Then you can use the tags to  control how clients are allocated 
addresses. Making that process more flexible is what we're working on here.
