Indeed, "unfinished" in the best available description. However just to 
prove that things are happening, if you get the last commit from

it does now compile and has even been shown to allocate an IPv6 address, 
at least once.

There's a feeling that it's over the hump now, and we're on the way to 
an alpha-quality release soonish. Don't make plans for production use 
any time soon though.
