Hi Gene, Simon,
I'm using similar patch for a couple of months already.
Works fine, hadn't time to send it here yet.
As for V6ONLY, with wildcarding and without this socket will listen for IPv4
messages too on 547 port, nut not sure v6-mapped addresses will pass checks
there.
Anyway, behavior is externally controlled by sysctl net.ipv6.bindv6only, so,
it's better to set the flag, just in case.
